I've just published my paper "On the existence and social optimality of equilibria in a Hotelling game with uncertain demand and linear-quadratic costs" in The BE Journal of Theoretical Economics. It includes a Mathematica Appendix, establishing some of the most complex sections of the proofs, which not only are MUCH easier to carry through in this way, but can also be verified by the reviewers in a matter of seconds.
